there was one old lady at ward. she has just gone under knife for her lymphadenitis few days back and she looks real sick, lethargic. she's anemic her nail bed so white like being painted. On her right hand, large area was covered with bluish purple discoloration which doctor's suspecting subcutaneous heamorrhage. also lots of rashes all over her body. her left hand was edematous covered with bandage. that particular hand was painful she doesn't permit us to touch. and oh, there were numerous scars on both hand thanks to IV therapy. she's diabetic.
when we first greeted her, she replied asking us if we had had our lunch. tell you what, that is the most warmest greeting i've ever had with patient here ok. extremely rare. not even once i've met a patient here so warm like this aunty. ok except for that little neurofibroma boy efi mentioned in her blog not long ago.
and this aunty, she has one loving husband taking care of her. oh my. we were all like "would my husband be like this uncle when i'm old and sick". he is super duper admirable. the husband do every little tiny thing just to make sure her wife comfortable. touch her gently, speak to her softly. always smiling.
okay now here is the real thing.
after some time, the doctor came. so we gathered around the patient and one of us presented the case as usual. this is the first time we met this doctor since he never took our class before. and the discussion begun. okay lets call him Dr. TMID. short form for the most insensitive doctor.
so Dr. TMID start explaining things. as he explained, he sure needs to touch the patient as to demonstrate the procedures. but but, he is one rough doctor. not even asked the patient if is it painful when that particular site being touched, or if she is comfortable. haiyoo like he's playing with dolls. itu manusia lah encik tabib.
as Dr TMID explained, he kept lifting the patient's hand. the one with edema and intense pain. i don't know if he's damn ignorant or it's just plainly his attitude to ignore patient's reaction. initially, only the face. and then come the little jerking movement signaling that she's in pain. then, she groaned. very slow but loud enough to be heard by aida and me. we were at the very end of the bed. sure the doctor got some hearing problem if he's not hearing. at that point my concentration to his teaching is 90% lost. suddenly we saw she's wiping her tears. ahhh! faham tak die sakit??!!! that is so heart breaking T__T. and she never turned her face until the class finished. almost two hours! class. imagine how much pain she's in.
oh, the husband is outside so he doesn't know what's happening inside.
just imagine if he knew. he tried his very best to make the wife not feeling any pain for the slightest movement she makes. and the TMID doctor's do as he pleased to the wife. T__T. i wondered if she tells her husband what she had gone through.
#baki: hoho i don't why i wrote this in english. yeah, my english is bad. so, i'm sorry in advance. and because of this is quite long i bet only a few will read till the very end and come to this message. and of course thank you for reading :)

Did u point out to the doctor that she was in pain? Or did he genuinely seem not to care. From what Ive seen anyways, thats how indian doctors treat their patients tho. sangat kasar kan?
